Show ancestors who lived at certain points in history.
As suggested by Jodi Faulkner: "Connecting the family to what was going on in history at in their lifetime helps. It’s amazing when you discover that there is a Thomas Tolman mentioned in George Washington’s writings. He was mention several times one with delivering payroll to the troops taking orders from Washington himself. Not just what census gives you. But really make history come alive. What neater way to help with school reports than to go in put a personal spin on it. Include maps of the times indicating where they were born, lived and died."

Create a photo album of ancestors.
My family would love to have access to quality photos of our ancestors. This would be the perfect venue for doing so.

Publish project details, and possibly allow long-distance work.
From Mike Tolman: "If there are that many projects to do, put a description of them on the website and what is needed. If they can be done long distance (i.e. transcription, digitizing, etc) then package them up and we can sign up to do them."

I was reading someones post down on this page and… more

Design another skin for the website.
If you understand and enjoy internet design, then you could create
your own styling for this website. We've tried to conform to a
standard set of CSS classes and IDs, so we think it could be easy to
make your own design for it. Take a look at the top of our CSS file: http://thomas.tolmanfamily.org/css/style.css2 votes -
